Framing 101: Say What You Mean to Say
Tara Poelzing, Environmental Education Certification Administrator, VAEE
Wednesday, July 10, 12:00 - 1:15 pm
Our language has power, but we can’t wield that power unless we are aware of its nuances. Do we really have the power to make positive change by using the word “our” instead of “the?” I believe the answer is “Yes!” After all, marketers, advertisers, think tanks, and a whole host of geniuses make big change daily with words alone.
Join Tara for an introduction into the world of framing where we will look critically at how words are used and then consider how this looks in the EE field. Whether using words to teach, in print, during interpretation, in development work, or just in casual conversation, we can harness their power for change-making results!
